ABOUT MR. SMITH

M.M. Music Education, University of Connecticut, 1987.
B.S. Music Education, Central Connecticut State University, 1985.
A.A.S. Musical Instrument Technology,  S.U.N.Y., Morrisville, 1981.

In his 23rd year here in the Clinton School District, Mr. Smith teaches 
Instrumental Music at the high school as Director of the Morgan Band 
as well as Instrumental Music at the Pierson Elementary School as 
Director of the Pierson Beginning Band and Pierson Advanced Band.

Mr. Smith is also involved with several extra-curricular activities 
including the Morgan Pep Band, Morgan Jazz Ensemble, and as Technical 
Director for activities in the Gagnon Auditorium at the high school.

When not at school, Mr. Smith enjoys time at home in Moodus with his 
wife Debbie and their 2 kids Chris and Vanessa. On a nice day in the 
summer you might find him fishing out on Moodus Reservoir, Kayaking 
on the Connecticut River, or more than likely just trying to keep the lawn 
mowed!

SCHOOL....

This is Mr. Lampe's 24th year in the Clinton School system directing the 
high school choral program at Morgan. He also serves as Drama Coach and is 
director of Morgan's Annual Musical Theater Production.

COMMUNITY....

Mr. Lampe  is the founder and director of Clinton Family Theatre, a non 
profit community theatre devoted entirely to the production musicals.  Shows 
are produced twice a year, summer and fall.  Auditions for both productions 
held in May.

Mr.Lampe is also a local church organist and choir director. He also directs the
Clinton Choral Club Inc. which is a non audition adult choir with an 80 year history 
in Clinton.

HOME....
    
Mr. Lampe loves spending time with his 2 grandchildren (who call him PopPop)
and traveling to exotic destinations around the world with his wife, Elaine who is
a former Clinton teacher and current travel agent.

Mr. Lampe's favorite type of music is Opera. He enjoys reading science 
fiction and biographies in his free time.
