New Materials: (1) At the heart of the program is a joint-usage plan that joins the Scott Foresman program and Investigations, a program originally developed by TERC-Technical Education Research Center. TERC is a nonprofit company working to improve mathematics and science education. (2) Also included at the 2-5 grade levels is the Options Problem Solving B-E workbooks that will be used to improve problem solving strategies with a focus on mathematical thinking and writing. (3) The NCTM Navigations Series K-2 and 3-5 is a resource that can be used by staff to support standards based mathematics education.
