On February 15th the March Conference Schedule can now be found on the conference page. Please utilize this page in order to schedule a Conference date and time. Choose an open slot and email Ms. Johnson with your choice. A confirmation will be sent to you once you are on the schedule.

With the shortened week, Valentines Day (make those valentines!!!) and the READ A THON, there will be no homework for students who earned a 3+ or better on their response journals last week. Please urge your child to use this time to go on Study Island and read for the READ A THON fundraiser!!!

It's mid-year in B7 Second grade, so many mid year assessments are being conducted. Please be sure students are well rested and ready to participate in these assessments including the winter DRA2 reading tests. Students have either lost or used many of their supplies and they are in need of new ones. Every student must have a homework folder and a set of at least 8 crayons (we use different colors to code information in Language arts and in Math).
Parents were generous in donating pencils and dry erase markers, so that every student has a brand new one ready to go!

On February 23rd, the next book report is due. Students were given the directions on how to complete the book box report. If a student needs a box, we have them in school. Please help your child to choose a just right book, follow the directions, use their neatest handwriting and complete sentences, create a colorful and creative project and practice their oral speaking skills. These are the parts of the report students are graded on in a rubric.
