Ms. Johnson taught six years of Kindergarten at Cranbury School before
moving up to the Second Grade for four years and has just moved back to
Second Grade from a year in First Grade!
Prior to coming to Cranbury Ms. Johnson taught full day Kindergarten in
Bridgeport.
Ms. Johnson's past work experience includes many interesting roles:
Commander Johnson researched, developed and instructed science and art
courses at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport Connecticut including NASA's
Challenger Program and the summer Space Camp for eight years.
For five summers Captain Johnson lead crews of 4th graders in the Maritime
Magic Program at Marvin Elementary School in Norwalk because she loves
learning about marine biology and the ecosystem of the Long Island Sound!
Many Cranbury students know Dr. Johnson from creating ooey gooey projects for
students who join the Afters Program's Mad Science class at Cranbury School.
Our classroom motto is to "try your best". As Ms. Frizzle would say: "Let's
take chances, get messy and make mistakes!" We applaud mistakes and
experiments because that is how we learn best!
Besides, Chocolate Chip Cookies were a mistake and they sure are good!!!
