What can I do to help my child?

Read with your child and ask questions about what they are
reading. Ask them
to summarize what they've read, have them predict what will
happen
next, describe the characters and setting, make connections to
something else
they've read or experienced, etc...This will give you quality
time with your
child and help them become active readers.
