NOTE: MAC Users - The Work from Home process is currently NOT working with the MAC. Our Tech Department is in the process of creating a terminal server client that will allow this to work on a MAC. A message to MAC Users will be posted on this page when you may start accessing Work from Home with a MAC.

Work from Home
Log onto your home computer
Log onto the Internet
If necessary, set the Pop-Up Blocker in your Browser to Allow http://milforded.org and http://teacherweb.com/CT/EastShoreMS/MediaCenter/apt4.aspx
Go to http://teacherweb.com/CT/EastShoreMS/MediaCenter/apt4.aspx
Click on the WORK FROM HOME link at the top or bottom of the instruction page

You May Need to DO the Following the First Time on a New Computer
(Go to step 1. below if you have already done this on your computer)
A message may pop up saying “ActiveX Control not installed”
Click on yellow bar towards top of page
Select Run Add-on
Message appears (briefly) at bottom of page by an icon that looks like a gear with a red cross-out through it:
Double Click on the icon that looks like a gear with the red cross-out through it
Click once on the name of the 1st ‘Disabled’ item in the list
Select Enable towards the bottom
Click once on the name of the 2nd ‘Disabled’ item in the list
Select Enable towards the bottom
Select Close
Go back to the work from home instruction page http://teacherweb.com/CT/EastShoreMS/MediaCenter/apt4.aspx
and follow steps 1 -12

1. Click on the office program that your document was created by (ex. Microsoft Word)
2. Click Connect
3. Type the word district\ and your school user name
(The slash key \ is located above the Enter key. Your user name = lastnamefirstname)
4. Type in your school password (Your password = first initial + 5 numbers of your lunch code)
[This may take a few minutes. Wait for program to load]
5. Click the colorful Office Button at the top left and scroll to Open
6. Click Computer in the left column under Favorite Links
7. Select esstudent under Network Location (you may need to scroll down) and click Open
8. Select the folder for the year you will graduate from high school and click Open
9. Select the folder with your name and click Open
10. Double click on the document you wish to open
(If you save documents in separate subject folders, you will first have to double click on the folder to open it.)
11. When you have completed your work, click the colorful Office Button at the top left and scroll to Save As
12. Make sure your name (or folder name) is at the top of the Save As box and click Save
