My name is Mrs. Coulson and I have been teaching 8th grade science at East
Shore Middle School for 10 years. Students in my class solve problems using
scientific method, build bridges and roller coasters, construct simple
machines out of Legos, and observe all kinds of matter and their
interactions!
This year I am happy to have some of my students become involved in an
interdistrict program called, "Dynamic Careers in Aquaculture". We have been
involved with raising trout in our classroom! Check out the Aquaculture page

To provide a learning atmosphere that is based on mutual respect and
responsibility. Students are asked to take responsibility for their
education as well as their actions. To acheive this goal students need to be
prepared for class, be an active partcipant and work cooperatively with one
another. Encouragement of inquiry skills and the pusuit of knowledge and
truth through scientific investigation are the driving forces of this class.
