Greetings and thank you all for visiting my website. My name "Mr. P". I have been teaching
instrumental music in New Haven Public schools since 2002. I currently teach instrumental music at
Edgewood Magnet School.
We also have the Edgewood Jazz Combo, which is a select group of band students who play
in a jazz combo.

In addition, I am a freelance bassist that performs in
several different rock, jazz, and fusion ensembles throughout Connecticut and
New York. I have been playing bass since 1985 and it is the biggest
joy for me to perform. I hope with this job I can share just how wonderful
this joy is as my kids perform in front of people.
Our mission this year is to be better than we have ever been. Plain and
simple. I have new strategies that will help each one of you individually
play better on your instruments. We will have new warm-ups and exercises
"tailor-made" by myself which will really develop your performance on your
instruments. We will have some new challenges this year. I need all of you
to stay dedicated to your instrument and to your band. The spirit that you
all had last year was incredible. Let's keep it going!
