MIDDLE SCHOOL OPERATING PROCEDURES

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

 

 Purpose of Summer School:

  Provide remedial course work in the four major couses in Middle School:
    Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies        

Provide enrichment opportunities to students who would like to improve
    their skills and knowledge. 

 Eligibility
   Eligibility for Summer School is determined by the Principal of each Middle School.
 
 Attendance
   Perfect attendance and punctuality are required.
   ALL Absences and Tardiness are UNEXCUSED.
   If a student exceeds the allowed accumulated absences in the course,
     the student will not receive credit for the course. Allotted Absenses: 3.

 

 Progress Reports:

   A Progress Report for each student will be mailed to the student's

     home on July 22.
   Please sign and return the Progress Report to the teacher.
 
 Notification of Summer School Grades:
   Grade notification will be sent to the parents or guardians
     of the student and to the appropriate school principal
     after August 6.
 
Transportation: 
   Parents are responsible for arranging transportation
     to and from school.
   City Transit bus passes can be purchased from Milford
     Summer School for $20 per book for 20 rides.
     Upon succesful completion of the Summer School
     course these cost will be reimbursed.

   Please call the Summer School Office between 7:30am and 8:30pm.
