AUP Signoff Required by February 17

The Milford Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) must be signed by both student and parent by February 17, 2012. Student access to the school computers will be disabled if the AUP is not signed by the 17th.

The AUP is available for signing via the parent section of Powerschool:

https://gradebook.milforded.org

Sign in using your PARENT username and password. Signing in using the student username and password will not bring you to the AUP.

If you do not know your Parent username and password for Powerschool, please call the Foran office at 203-783-3502 and the information will be mailed to your home address.

When you have signed in, you will see the AUP tab on the left side of the screen. Click and read through the AUP.

There is a checkoff box under the paragraph beginning "As a student of the Milford Public Schools..." Your student should check this box indicating their acceptance of the terms of the AUP.

There are three checkoff boxes under the paragraph beginning "As the parent or legal guardian of the minor student..." The first is parent/guardian acceptance of the AUP. This box MUST be checked off.

The second and third checkoff boxes are optional. By checking the second box, you give your permission for your student to use his/her own personal devices at school for educational purposes. If you prefer that your student not be allowed to use personal devices at school, do not check this box.

By checking the third box, you give your permission for your student to access the internet using a private network provider (for example, through a home 3G plan). The internet would be unfiltered through a private account. If you prefer that your student not be allowed to use private network providers from school, do not check this box.

If you have more than one student in the Milford Public school system, you must sign the AUP under each student account.

If you have successfully logged in but are still experiencing technical difficulties in accessing the AUP document, please update your browser(Internet Explorer, Firefox)and try again.

Drama Club Presents Once Upon a Mattress

On Friday, February 10 and Saturday February 11, 2012, the Joseph A. Foran High School Drama club will present the musical “Once Upon A Mattress” in Noel F. Wilkins Auditorium at Joseph A. Foran High School. Both shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. The musical show is produced by arrangement with Rogers and Hammerstein.

This musical interpretation of ‘The Princess and the Pea’ brings to light the true story of a Princess who swam the moat to reach her Prince in a kingdom under the rule of a domineering Queen. The show is both hilarious and romantic with a story line for everyone. You will never look at fairy tales quite the same way after seeing this show!

The show features in its cast Hannah Gerlander as Princess Winifred and Steven Bagoly as Prince Dauntless. Cast as Queen Aggravain is Delaney Cassidy. Alongside her, Ben Curry is performing in the role of King Sextimus. Ben Bonessi is playing the role of the Minstrel and Mallory Marin is playing the role of the Jester. Sir Harry will be portrayed by William Barry alongside Sam Pepe in the role of Lady Larken. Cast as the Wizard is Erin French. The principal roles are supported by an outstanding supporting cast and excellent crew.

“A hilariously nutty retelling of the beloved fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. The show itself is a comedy gem. Mattress is a masterpiece of its kind,” Michael Portantiere, Theatermania, January 1, 2004.

Tickets are $7 in advance (contact Jessica Shearer at jshearer@milforded.org or call Foran High School at 203-783-3502) and $10 at the door. All proceeds support the Foran High School drama program.
