"E" Day
The Milford Chamber of Commerce is once again
offering $250 grants to students who complete a community project.
Students are required to submit a business plan and budget for their project
and must have an adult sponsor (teacher or parent) who will supervise. There
are two rounds of applications. The first deadline is November 30th and the
second is January 29th. Applications are available in the College & Career
Center. Completed applications should be returned to Mrs. Litzie.
Attention seniors: your $20 class
dues will be collected now through November 24th in the cafeteria during all
three lunch waves. This is your last chance to hand in your dues and sign your
name for the senior sweatshirt.
The annual Holiday Book Fair will take place
on Thursday, December 11th and Friday, December 12th. This fair takes
place in the Foran media Center and is run by students who choose all of the
books and gifts. If you are interested in helping out, please see mrs.
Minichiello in the Media Center. We will be meeting on Saturday, December 2nd
at Barnes and Noble to choose the merchandise. We will need cashiers and
helpful students to work the two fair days as well.
A Foran graduate who currently attends
Northeastern University will be here Wednesday, November 25th during Period 5
to speak with interested students. Please sign up in advance in
Guidance.
Johnson & Wales is holding summer programs in
culinary arts, fashion and other majors. Information on these and
other summer opportunities can be found in the College and Career Center.
Hat Day is Coming! Please help
support the Mayor's Youth Committee for People with Disabilities! Donate $1 in
your homeroom and wear your favorite hat to school on Wednesday, November
25th.
DON'T GET STUCK IN LINE! Buy your
Football tickets before Thanksgiving Day. Tickets are $5 and being sold in Mr.
Vitelli's office.
The Foran Best Buddies Chapter will be having
a membership meeting on Thursday, December 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in Mrs. Sheppard's
Room. This is a very important meeting, so please make every effort to
attend. See Mr. Johnston in room 301 if you have any questions.
Students: please remember that
tomorrow is a half day schedule with nolunch served.
