Connecticut Clearinghouse
The online version of the state’s premier library and resource center for information on mental health, substance use disorders, prevention and health promotion, treatment and recovery, wellness, and other related topics.  Through the website, individuals can access their resource catalog, fact sheets, research and statistics, as well as its database of services in Connecticut and links to treatment facility locators, screening tools, and self-help group listings.  A program of Wheeler Clinic, Inc., the Clearinghouse is funded by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.  Located in Plainville, the resources and services of the Clearinghouse are available to anyone who lives or works in the state. 
This site provides parents with information on Connecticut’s underage drinking laws and the impact of alcohol on teenage brain development.  It also allows parents to search for local resources by town and provides links to other related websites.  It is designed to help parents establish rules and maintain their stance when faced with their children's temptation to drink.  Administered by the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) and the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee's Subcommittee on Combating Underage Drinking.
 
The Partnership for a Drug Free America
This site contains an online resource center featuring interactive tools that translate the latest science and research on teen behavior, addiction and treatment into easy to understand tips and tools.  Through this site, parents can connect with each other, tap into expert advice for children of all ages, find the support needed to prevent their children from using drugs and alcohol, and find help and treatment for family and friends in trouble.

Time to Act! - How to Tell if Your Teen is Using and Taking Action to Intervene
This site provides tools and tips designed to help parents recognize the signs of teen drug use, open the lines of communication, and arrange a teen drug intervention.  The goal of Time to Act is to help parents gain insights into why teens begin to use drugs or alcohol, as well as to debunk the common myths and misperceptions that parents and teens may have about the use of drugs and alcohol.  The site contains video, role-playing segments and advice from experts.  Administered by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America.

Get Smart About Drugs - A DEA Resource for Parents
This site provides parents with the information to identify drug risks in their home, the drugs themselves, and signs of drug use.  It also contains tips on starting conversations about drugs with teens, facts about drug abuse, suggestions for tackling drug abuse issues, and thoughts and stories from parents who have dealt with drug abuse issues in their homes.  In addition, parents will find links to treatment facilities, intervention tips, mental health providers, hotlines, and drug-related agencies, as well as a number of DEA-produced resource materials.  Finally, parents can view the latest news articles and research studies related to drugs and drug abuse.  Sponsored by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
