Youth Service BureausYouth Service Bureaus serve children, teens, and families in their respective towns. The actual services provided varies, but all strive to foster positive youth and family development. Many bureaus serve as advocates for youth and coordinate prevention, intervention, treatment, and follow-up services. Some provide recreational activities and/or facilities, such as youth centers, where teens can gather to engage in positive and safe activities. Many, but not all, provide counseling services which may be free to residents.
