Before you do anything ask yourself if doing it fits all three of my 
expectations.  
If it does you are SAFE!!!

Remember be in do the RIGHT thing in the RIGHT place at the RIGHT time!

How important is Homework?

Although it only counts for 10% of your grade, it affects 100% of your 
grade.  For example, if your homework is not done,
1) you will have a hard time participating fully in the day's classwork 
(worth 20%)
2) you will not know what areas you personally need to focus on for the 
Tests and Quizzes (worth 25%)
3) you will not have the background needed for Labs (worth 25%)& Projects 
(worth 20%)
4) you will have a more difficult time passing the Trimester Benchmark Exam 
(worth 10%)

SOOOO you see that it is extremely important!  I promise that I will not 
assign "Busy work" for homework.

What if I have a difficult time doing the homework?

To earn full credit for Homework it must be COMPLETE and ON-TIME, and done 
to the BEST of YOUR ability.  IF you do this you could have all the answers 
wrong and still earn full credit for your Homework grade.  I think that is a 
very FAIR opportunity!

What do I do if I am absent from school?

School policy is that you will have 2 SCHOOL DAYS to make up missed work.  
Please come see me to find out what you missed and how to make up the work.

What do I do if I do not get an assignment done on time?

Two different answers - 

If it is a REGULAR HW assignment - get it done and show me and I will give 
you a check to fill in a zero, this helps when I average grades.

If it is a graded assignment (Lab, Project, Test, etc.) it will have a 
penalty every day it is late and after 5 school days it will not be accepted 
soooooo get it done and turn it in.

What if I go to shop after being absent?

Shop days count as school days and work must be made up before returning to 
Academics.  Don't fall behind or it will be too hard to catch up.

Can I get extra help after school?

YES!!  Please arrange an appointment with me at least a day before you want 
to stay.  I am usually here until 3:30PM.  There are usually Faculty 
Meetings on Thursdays so they are not good days for after school help.

Also, you can meet with me after school during your shop cycle.  Get caught 
up or work ahead. It might make your load lighter during the upcoming 
Academic cycle.

What do I do if I miss a lab?

I will usually allow 1 week to make up a lab.  After that I will need to put 
materials away and get ready for the next lab.  You cannot afford to get 
zeros for labs.
