WEEKLY INDEPENDENT READING REQUIREMENTS

***You should be reading 20 minutes a night! Reading logs will be checked!
Weekly parent signature required.***

Students should be reading an age and grade level appropriate book of their
own choosing. Independent reading should an enjoyable experience. See me
for suggestions!

Second Trimester Independent Reading Project is due Thursday, March 1, 2012.

All projects must be accompanied by a summary of the book (include the ending
of the book in your summary!) either typed or written neatly in pen. Write
the summary IN YOUR OWN WORDS!

Detailed project guidelines were distributed in class the week of December
13.

Students are responsible for independent reading throughout the school
year. To make this a manageable task, students should read 20
minutes a night for a total of 100 minutes per week.

**NEW SECOND TRIMESTER REQUIREMENT -- Parents MUST sign weekly reading log!
Signatures will be monitored.**

Second trimester ends March 9, 2012.
