1. Read and document 100 minutes of independent reading nightly. Reading logs will be checked periodically.
2. Complete comprehension questions for Act V include them with Act II, Scene II and Act IV, Scene 2.
All three sets will be collected together for a grade.
3. Complete "Major Characters" sheet.  This is a good handout to use as a study guide for the test.
4. BOOK test on Tuesday. Start reviewing for the test with the study guide given.  Make sure that you review background knowledge on this novel. 
5. End of novel culminating activity is due Wednesday.  Refer to directions already given.  Remember that this will be presented in class.
6. Independent Book Report for Trimester Two is due on Thursday, March 1st.

2. Complete A Midsummer Night's Dream's Choice sheet.  Also, remember that the paragraph needs to be typed and double-spaced.

1. Read and document 100 minutes of independent reading nightly. Reading logs will be checked periodically.
2. End of novel culminating activity is due Wednesday.  Refer to directions already given.  Remember that this will be presented in class.
3. Independent Book Report for Trimester Two is due on Thursday, March 1st. Don't wait for the last minute.  It is due the week you return from vacation.  Remember, there is two parts: summary and project.  Try working on them over vacation.

All Groups: DOCUMENT 100 MINUTES OF READING WEEKLY on the reading log. This will be check every Monday.  This will be graded.  This could be reading that is required for class or reading independently on a topic of his/her choice. Independent reading can include reading magazines, comic books, or following along with a book that is being read on a CD or cassette player.

IMPORTANT INFO:
1. Please remember that if you are sick, you will need to make up any tests or classwork missed. 
2. Bring in reading material to have with you at all times.

There will be THREE independent book reports (one for each trimester) that you are responsible for
this year in 8th grade.

A contract will be given to the students regarding the above book reports and
their due dates. Both a student's and a parent/guardian's signature are
required.

Nightly homework, Monday - Thursday, is listed on the chalkboard in
front of the classroom and is written on this webpage. Students are asked to write the assignment down in their agenda books. If a student forgot to write down his homework or is
unclear about the assignment, have them check with their homework buddy.
Long term projects or assignments are noted on this website as well.
