| The goal of Student Council is to develop leadership qualities while
encouraging service and good citizenship. The Student Council is comprised
of students from grades four and five. Students must write an essay, have
good academic standings and show leadership potential.
The council is responsible for selecting Friday Fun Days, planning and
orchestrating Spirit Day, assisting the PTO with Teacher Appreciation Day,
organizing the annual Salvation Army Canned Food Drive, sponsoring the
Carnation Flower Sale (for Valentine's Day), performing annual skits for the
student body and assisting the school community wherever needed.
Council members meet weekly for 50 minutes to discuss school and community
issues.
