What I Do:
-Facilitate psychoeducational and socioeducational groups for students with varying emotional
and academic needs (such as social skills enrichment and organizational skills development).
-Provide individual counseling for students.
-Collaboratively consult with teachers on behavioral and academic cases.
-Participate as an active member of the Planning and Placement and Individual Learning Needs
Teams.
-Collaborate with families and outside agencies.
-Obtained the 2007 and 2008 Stamford Chamber of Commerce Classroom Mini-Grant and am
implementing the Second Steps: A Violence Prevention Program for the Kindergarten, Third and
Fourth grades.
-Conduct and interpret initial evaluations, using the Cattell-Horn-Carroll cross battery
method.
-Conduct and interpret triennial evaluations.
-Act as a member of the Phonemic Awareness Team.
-Act as a Lexia Reading System consultant.
