What I Do:
-Facilitate psychoeducational and socioeducational groups for students with
varying emotional
and academic needs (such as social skills enrichment and organizational
skills development).
-Provide individual counseling for students.
-Collaboratively consult with teachers on behavioral and academic cases.
-Participate as an active member of the Child Study and Pupil Personnel
teams.
-Collaborate with families and outside agencies.
-Obtained the 2007 and 2008 Stamford Chamber of Commerce Classroom Mini-
Grant and am implementing the Second Steps: A Violence Prevention Program
for the Kindergarten and Fourth grades.
-Work closely with agencies in relation to summer camps referrals.
-Arrange for outside agencies such as Domestic Violence Services and Sexual
Abuse and Rape Crisis Centers to bring prevention programs into the
classroom.
