![]() Info for parents!!!!We stand for making everyone physically, mentally, and emotionally safe. If your child has been a target of anything MEAN, let us know.
At the front of each of the student's binder you will find a Table of Contents. Here you will see some of the interesting topics we will study this year in Grade 6. Also you will find sheets titled 6th Grade Science Expectations. These pages tell you about my class in much more detail. Questions about the science notebook, materials, homework, grading, extra help, attendance, and behavior can be found here.
THE SCIENCE NOTEBOOK IS THE KEY TO THIS CLASS. IT HAS EVERYTHING!!! IN MANY WAYS IT TRULY IS THE SCIENCE TEXTBOOK FOR THIS CLASS. CHECK IT OUT PERIODICALLY!!!
Some important reminders: Materials: Every student needs at least a 2 inch binder (with at least 6 dividers), pen and pencils, and a metirc ruler. Colored pencils and a calculator are optional.
Homework: There is homework periodically. Even if there is no written homework assigned, in the very least students could be reviewing the current unit material. Parents/guardians are urged to check the agenda every night. The first thing students do when they enter the classroom is copy their assignments into their agenda. Assignments are also posted on this web site.
Contacting Me!!!: I can be reached here at the school (452-4466) or you can contact me by emailing me from this web site. Just look for the email icon on my home page. Lastly, feel free to send me a message via the agenda.
Extra help: Extra help is held on Wednesdays after school. Late busses are available. In the event an extra help session is canceled, Monday or Thursday may be assigned for extra help. A student who has a conflict and cannot make extra help should see me to arrange for a convenient time to discuss class material.
