I provide speech and language services to students in grades 1 through 8. It
has been my pleasure to work with students at Horace Porter School for 20
years. Speech-language pathologists are required to have a masters degree,as
well as be licensed and certified.My experience includes working with students
in pre-school through high school. I have also worked with the adult
population in rehabilitation centers.
Services provided at this school include speech remediation,
language remediation, and strengthening skills in vocabulary, test taking,
phonological development and selected comprehension skills. Social pragmatic
skills are also addressed. Our goal is to strengthen students' communication
skills so that he/she may effectively demonstrate knowledge and understanding
of curricula concepts and vocabulary. Regular consultation with teaching
staff is maintained throughout the year to ensure maximum carryover of
language skills into the classroom.
