I am starting my fifth year at Horace W. Porter School. I cannot tell
you how excited I am to continue teaching here in Columbia. Before earning my
B.A. from Eastern Connecticut State University and my Masters Degree from
Sacred Heart University, I worked as an R.N.for over 25 years. I have had
many years of involvement with children; either through working in pediatrics,
coaching baseball and basketball or raising a family of my own. I love
travel, READING, writing and snorkeling. I am looking forward to a wonderful
year with the marvelous class that I have been given to guide through third
grade.
The mission for my class this year is to make every day we spend at school
a true learning experience. We will strive to improve our reading and
writing skills, our mathematical knowledge and our understanding of the
world around us. Cooperation and genuine concern for each other will help
make every day in our classroom just another day in paradise.
