Homework

At this level, homework is important for many reasons. Students
develop good work habits and attitudes about learning, as well as practice
many important skills. It would be good to get yourself and your child
adjusted to spending time on homework each night. Your child may not be able
to do all of the homework independently. Because of this, having homework
for your child means that you will have work too! Chances are many of you
will be surprised and impressed with the things that they (and you) will be
doing!
As a part of this school’s math program, “Home Links” or review
sheets are given regularly. Students will also receive a reading or language
worksheet. These will be a review and should not take to long to complete.
Homework should last between 15-30 minutes per night. If there is no homework
assignment sent home, please read with your child and continue to develop good
work habits.
Homework should not be frustrating. If your child does not
understand any given assignment, please let me know what was causing the
trouble and I will review with him/her in school the next day.
