At this point in the year we are focusing on including many beginning, midde, and ending consonant sounds in our written work.  We have also been learning and praciting short vowel sounds.  As the year progresses on we will be looking for your children to consistantly include and spell correctly frequently used sight words in his or her written work.  Please encourage your child to write at home.  He or she could keep a journal, write a story and illustrate it, or write a letter to send to a friend or family member.
