I graduated from Tufts University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree
in Child Study. I was hired that fall and have enjoyed a long and exciting
career as a teacher at Porter since that time. I received my Master's
Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Connecticut. I am the
proud mother of two daughters, Alexis and Amanda. Alexis has graduated
from Endicott College and is the Human Resources coordinator in a
small company in the Boston area. She was married on September
3, 2006 and has since bought a house in Beverly, MA. She and her husband,
Nat, are the proud owners of a black lab named Swarley. Amanda
graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in the spring of 2006 and
was working on Long Island at the Hyatt Hotel and in a bakery. She has recently
moved to North Carolina and works at a bakery in Chapel Hill as the head cake
decorator. On July 22, 2006, I was joyously married to Mr. Ron Cavallaro. I will
continue to use my maiden name of Zaglio. I am now living in Johnston, Rhode
Island in a beautiful old home built in 1741. We share our space with three cats
and two gardens.
