Welcome to Fourth Grade! I am so excited to be a part of your child's life
this year! We have so many exciting adventures to embark on throughout the
year, and my hope is that you will be an active part in your child's
journey. As I get to know your child and work with him/her each day, it is
only fair that I begin by sharing a little bit about myself with you.
I am a life long resident of Milford, growing up in the Woodmont area near
the beach. I come from a family of educators and enthusiasts for community
service. I am number five in a family of eight children. I am the product of
the Milford Public School System, having graduated from Live Oaks and Foran
High Schools. My undergraduate and graduate work took me to Wheelock College
in Boston, MA. and Southern Connecticut State University. This year begins
my seventeenth year of teaching, having spent the first six years of my
career in Stamford at K.T. Murphy and Julia A. Stark Elementary Schools, and
the last eleven at John F. Kennedy.
When I am not at school, I love spending quality family time with my
husband, Billy (an HVAC technician) and our three children, Olivia (8 years
old and in Third Grade at JFK) and twins, Mackensie and Ethan (5 years old
and in Kindergarten at JFK and Orange Avenue respectively). We love any
activities that can be done as a family, and we especially love working and
living within the JFK Community!
