Course Description

      
         This ninth grade course will focus on world events from 600A.D. to 1990, with special emphasis on the growth of the political, economic, and social institutions of Europe and the relationship of past events to current situations.            
         The course will begin with an introduction to the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation.  Then our studies will continue with the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment and move through the French Revolution, Nationalism in Europe, the Industrial Revolution, the Age of Imperialism, World War I, World War II and the Cold War.

Class Description:

       Students will be expected to engage in classroom discussions and activities about the current study topic.  Students are expected to be active participants in their education and will be provided various platforms from which to achieve, such as:
