This ninth grade course will focus on world events from 1700 to the present, with special emphasis on the growth of the political, economic, and social institutions of Europe and the relationship of past events to current situations.
The course will begin with the Enlightenment and move through the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, Imperialism, Nationalism in Europe, World War I, the Russian Revolution, World War II, the Cold War, Africa and the Middle East, and the changing contemporary world.
Class Description:
Students will be expected to engage in classroom discussions and activities about the current study topic. Students are expected to be active participants in their education and will be provided various
platforms from which to achieve, such as:
