UP & English 1 Supply List

Every day you must bring the following to class:

1. Your assignment book or agenda into which you should copy daily assignments from our English website.

2. Your English three-ring binder, which should contain
your notes and important handouts for this subject for the fall
semester.  This binder should be divided into the following FIVE sections:  homework & general information, literature, writing, vocabulary, and grammar.

3. The book we will be using in class that day.  Your assignment
sheet should make this clear.  Do NOT carry around all of your
English books in your backpack.  Leave those you are not using at
home or in your locker.

4. Any written homework that is due on that day.  (Note: You may be
placed on academic detention if you forget your homework more than
twice in a quarter or if you submit sloppy or incomplete work
regularly.)  You will not have written homework every day.

5. A sharpened pencil or pen.  In-class writing may be done in either.

6. You should keep a reasonable supply of blank, lined paper in
your binder.  More often than not you will be taking notes or writing in class on a handout from me, but you should have paper on hand anyhow.

7. You should have access to a computer so that you can type all outside
(of class) written assignments.
