About The Teacher
HOLA CHICOS! I am from West Hartford, CT and will be teaching two Spanish B classes two computer tech classes, and a geography section at the Kingswood Oxford middle school this year. I've earned my BS in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises and double major in Spanish language and culture. In 2004 I traveled abroad to Madrid, Spain with an internship at IBM Espana in the social responsibility department. I recently returned from a month living with a family in Otavalo, Ecuador and a week with the Venezuelan students in Caracas! I've been on the leadership staff at the Summer Place in Hartford, and was an activity teacher at Breakthrough Magnet School in Hartford as well. At Syracuse I was a member of the rowing team. I hope you have a wonderful year in our class!

Mission
As stated in the Kingswood- Oxford Course of Study Book for Spanish B: The commitment to reading, writing speaking and listening remains constant; the expectations for the mastery of these skills increase as the students develop as language learners. Students read longer, more complex passages and write more comprehensive compositions. Students continue their study of Hispanic culture through projects and research.
