Tissues,tissues, and more tissues! Cold season may be over but the allergy season has taken its place!
We also are in need of an operational, sturdy electric pencil sharpener. If anyone would like to voluntarily donate one, it will be put to DAILY use. We have gone through 2 so far this year and our third is slowing down quickly.

Please have your child study math facts every day. All second graders are to know their addition and subtraction facts through 20 by the end of the year. We are working on these facts each day in the classroom but extra practice is needed to improve accuracy, fluency and efficiency. Fasttmath at home as well as flashcard drills will assist with mastery of facts. All addition combination sets and subtraction fact sets presented thus far in the Math Investigations Program have been sent home for continued practice.

The Fasttmath computer program is now being utilized by second grade! Children will go onto the computer program at least 3 times per week. This program builds math fact fluency. Addition is assigned first and once these combinations are mastered students will be enrolled in subtraction. Please be sure to practice math combinations frequently with your child. This will help your child be more successful with the Fasttmath program.
Live Oaks School Policy - Toys or gadgets from home should not be brought to school.
Milford Public Schools Policy - No food items should be brought into classrooms/cafeteria to share with others. Only food that a child will be eating himself/herself for lunch or snack will be permitted.
