Welcome to my homepage!
I come to Live Oaks and Orange Avenue Elementary Schools with a variety of
educational and work experiences. I completed an undergraduate degree in
Psychology at New York University (NYU), New York, NY. During this time, I
worked in an inner city elementary school as part of the America Reads
program. I also volunteered at The Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY on a
Geriatric Psychiatric unit.
Upon graduating NYU, I worked as a clinical coordinator in a research group
at Yale University, Department of Psychiatry. During this time, I also
pursued my Master's education in School Psychology at Fairfield University,
Fairfield, CT. Upon completion of my Master's degree, I continued to pursue
my sixth year certificate in School Psychology. As part of this program, I
completed a number of practical experiences. I worked in the Shelton School
system and at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, CT responding
to crisis situations in the hospital's Psychiatric Emergency Room and with
children at an after school/summer therapeutic program. During the 06-07
school year, I completed a full-time internship at an elementary school in
the Milford School system. I had such a wonderful experience as an intern
in Milford and I am looking forward to another terrific school year. I am
excited to be part of the Live Oaks and Orange Avenue Elementary School
communities and to continue my career in Milford!
