About The Teacher

Hi my name is Mrs. Amy Bugge'. This is my 13th year teaching at
Mathewson. Currently I'm teaching second grade. Over the years I've taught
traditional grade 1, traditional grade 2, multiage (grades 1 & 2) and
looping (grades 1 & 2). I was born and raised in Milford and proud to be
teaching in the Milford School district. I attended Orange Avenue(K-8)and
then Lauralton Hall. I'm a graduate of West Virginia University (Go
Mountaineers!!)and received my masters degree at SCSU.

When I'm not teaching, correcting papers, learning or reading, I coach high
school diving & gymnastics (I'm an old gymnast that turned into a diver in
high school and college). I coach at Lauralton Hall & Weston. When I am not
coaching or teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband Vinny
and 7 year old daughter Alyson Michaela. Two yeras ago we moved back to
Milford and are part of the Mathewson community. Alyson will a 2nd grader her
at Mathewson in September!

We love to read, play outside and swim at Paugy. I enjoy watching sports
{Yankees, Rangers & Giants(especially my love Derek Jeter)}, baking, talking
on the phone and hanging out with my family. And yes it's true, I don't eat
vegetables!

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE...it does NOT have a spell check button! I will do my
best to keep this website updated and useful however my time is valuable and
I may make mistakes and/or spelling errors...please do not judge me, just
realize I am human too! Thank you!!!!

Mission For The Class

For the children who enter room 22 to love learning and see that learning
can be fun! I want to create a safe and trusting environment where young
students can take risks as learners and feel encouraged to do so. I want to
teach them to stand up for themselves, respect themselves, their peers and
adults. I expect everyone to give 100% everyday... both students and
teacher! I want them to know it's OK to make mistakes. Making mistakes is an
important part of the learning process. I want everyone to come prepared and
eager for what lies ahead of them each day. I want them to smile, laugh and
have fun while becoming a LIFETIME learner! I believe your child's education
can only be a success if WE {parents and teacher} work together as partners
in the learning process!!
