This is my 7th year teaching at Mathewson School. I graduated from Sacred
Heart University with my BA in Psychology and Southern Connecticut State
University with my MA in Elementary Education. I have been married for FIVE
years to my wonderful husband Kane who is a service manager for a heating and
air conditioning company and we live locally here in Milford along
with our son Kane Jr. and our delighful Dalmatian named Magic.
When I am not teaching I enjoy going for a walk or a run, shopping and
talking with friends, going to the beach, photography, skiing, reading,
visiting my family in Rhode Island and of course watching T.V. especially the
BOSTON RED SOX!!!
I want the children who enter Room 31 to love school and learning and to
realize how learning can be fun!
I strive to create a safe and trusting environment where young
children can take risks and feel encouraged to do so.
I would like for students to know that it's OK to make mistakes. Making
mistakes is an important part of life as well as the learning process and we
ALL make them.
I want children to believe in themselves and have respect for themselves as
well as their peers and adults.
I want students to be prepared to give 100% each and every day as I will do
the same in return.
I will work with ALL families to make their child's education a success.
But most of all and perhaps most importantly I want everyone to laugh, smile,
sing, dance and HAVE FUN!
