Every class is scheduled each week for a lesson and book exchange time.
Books & magazines can be exchanged at any time and are signed out for two
weeks.
Volunteering in the Media Center: NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED - on the job
training. Come and enjoy sharing part of your child's day in school.
As children arrive in the Media Center they leave the books that they are
returning in the book drop at the circulation desk. Volunteers are needed to
scan the barcodes of these books to check them in.
Later these books will need to be returned to the shelves in their proper
order. While shelving, it is helpful to "read" the shelves and put books in
the correct order.
When children have chosen books or a magazine to check out they will bring
them to the desk to be scanned. It is important at these times to check to
see if a child has any overdue items and remind them to return overdues
before checking out something new.
Library classes are scheduled for 40 minutes. If you would like to come
during your child's class time, check the schedule and contact Mrs.
Vollano in the Media Center.
If you are interested, there are often other jobs that need attention:
helping children with research; creating displays, gathering requested titles
etc.
