The students will be held accountable for all the spelling words and
word families that we have studied. The focus is on the spelling
strategy NOT the memorization of the word.
We are continuing Unit 12. According to Fundations, the children will be learning about the
suffix ending -es and plural words. Please refer to the Fundations packet that was sent
home last Monday.
This week the children will continue to practice "trick words".
These words have been previously referred to as sight words. The
trick words require a lot of practice as thet are NOT words that
should be sounded out. Please practive the trick words at home as
well.
Students will be held accountable for correctly spelling all trick
words learned throughout the year.
