I was born and raised in Milford. My family owns Head Quarter's
Beauty Salon, Scoopy Doo's Ice Cream Shop, Schooner's and my dad owned Wayne
Tire. We have some deep roots here! My undergraduate degree is from
Southern Connecticut State University where I majored in psychology. In May
2006 I graduated from Southern's Master's program with a degree in Elementary
Education. I was inducted into KDP, the International Honor Society for
Educators. I have completed the BEST program and TEAM mentor training
program for the district and state, which enables me to have a student
teacher in the classroom as well as be a mentor for new teachers. In 2010 I
completed a reading certification program at Albertus Magnus College.I now
hold a 6th year degree as well as certification as a remedial reading
teacher.
The mission for the class is to try our best at all times, follow school and
classroom rules, and don't be afraid to try something we're not so sure
about. We are going to be leaders rather than followers and remember that
making mistakes is okay, because we are learning.

Room 32 is a safe and trusting learning environment. It is my job as the
teacher to educate the children so that they too have a love of learning. I
can not do that without first creating a trusting and cooperative
relationship with Room 32 parents. Together we can make a difference in your
child's education. I promise to love them and lead them down the road of
success.
