AnnouncementsWelcome 6th graders and their parents! I know the transition to middle school this year has been a little crazy with the "hurricane days"--mixed-up schedules, hard-to-open lockers, short lunches, among other things---but I promise that it only gets better from here! For those with a last name that starts with a G-Z, I will be making the journey with you throughout your time here at Middlesex. All the way up until you graduate at the end of 8th grade, I will be the person you can reach out to about academic, social, and emotional concerns, as well as anything else that pops up. If I can't answer it myself, I can always help find the person who can. I can't wait to start getting to know all of you! On this page I have included information about myself and my services, as well as additional outside resources on a variety of relevant topics. I will try to continually update this throughout the year, so please visit when you have the chance. I have already met many of you (or helped you open your locker!) throughout the troubleshooting process that is the first few days of school; starting soon I will begin trying to get to know you in a more formal way. I'll be visiting homerooms to introduce myself and my role, and will show all of you where you can find me and how you can get in touch with me. However, please know that you never have to wait for me. If something comes up, no matter how small, please don't hesitate to email or call. I will also be running some groups this year that meet during homeroom and/or lunch study based on a various themes, and will be visiting classrooms for lessons. But again, I am here to help YOU, so use me :-)
In the meantime, please look around. Sixth grade is a very fun year and there is lots to look forward to. Below, I have included a few links to recent articles that I have found particularly informative and insightful about the middle school years. Enjoy, and don't hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.
