What topics are we studying?

Eighth grade social studies concentrates on United States history
and culture from the period of colonization to the Civil War. In
addition to these units of study, we make connections to other
time periods in American history noting recurring themes.
Throughout the year we also concentrate on the idea of American
citizenship and how it applies to us personally.
