Old Homework
Jour 1: Complete math sheet. Bring dark blue or black pen to class.
Jour 2: Math sheet: Complete both sides.
Jour 3: Study numbers 0-100 online (in French) to prepare for a short quiz
on numbers next week. I will say a number and you will write it down.
Practice by listening to the pronunciation of each number and try to learn
how to say it. You need to know 0-20 very well to be able to say the 70's
and 90's in French.
Jour 1: Bring a dark blue or black pen to class tomorrow. Also bring a
sharp pencil. This is for a graded assignment to be done in class.
Jour 2: Your written assignment for where you are located in class with a
picture of your description is due tomorrow. Don't forget to use three
different location words. Be sure to write in ink. Also, be sure to include
your full name, class, and DATE IN FRENCH. This will be graded.
Jour 1: Have your poem ready to present if you have not yet done so. If you
received an A or A+ on your poem and you wish to participate in the poetry
festival at our school, work on your poem to say again in class. I can
choose one or two people. Bonne chance! (Good luck!) You have all done a
beautiful job to date.
Jour 2: We have worked very hard on the poems. Now only those who are
participating in the school festival must continue to practice the poem every
day. You will say it each day in class, and it would be helpful to see me
during school at any time to do a quick refresher with me.
Jour 3: We are now working on a new section called: "Moi, mes amis et ma
famille" (Me, my friends and my family). Make a tab with that title for our
new section. Review your sheet with location words. You have a "papier
jaune" (yellow paper) to complete at home, describing where you are sitting
in relation to your friends in this class. This is due for our next class.
Be sure to bring a pen with dark blue (bleu) or black (noir) ink. As well,
bring a sharp pencil. You will work in class on a graded sheet using these
next class.
Jour 1/2: Have your poem ready for a final presentation for a final grade by
next class.
Jour 3: If you did not get to do your poem, you will need to do it Monday
for a final presentation. You must continue to practice it over the weekend.
If you got an A on your poem and are interested in being chosen for the
contest on February 2 (Thursday) after school, continue to work on your poem
so that you can do it again in class.
Jour 1: Master your poem. This means that you have memorized it and keep
practicing at home. Work on pronunciation. Also try to say with
expression. Learn to begin with the title and author (par: by)
Jour 2: You will say your poem for a grade next week. You will be graded
for memorization, pronunciation, French accent, expression, interpretation.
Complete location sheet with animals for next class.
Jour 3: Be ready with you poem for a grade next class.
Jour 1-2: It's time to get back to your poem. Now you need to have the
entire poem memorized for the last class of the week. We will say the poem to
get a "participation" grade for memorizing. This will contribute to your
participation grade this quarter. Be sure to listen to the poem on our site,
so that you know how to pronounce the words. Look at the meaning of each
line, so that you know what you are saying.
After you have memorized the poem, you will begin to think about expression
and interpretation. Your final grade will include memorization,
pronunciation, expression, and inerpretation.
Jour 2-3:
Continue to work on your poem with all that is mentioned above. You will get
a sheet that describes what is expected.
Complete the wordsearch on your location sheet and label each picture
correctly in French on top of the wordsearch.
Jour 1: Memorize lines 1-4 of your poem. Listen to the Poetry section on my
website to learn how to pronounce the words. Look at the meaning of what you
are saying (the English translation) so that you can make sense of what you
say.
Jour 2: Memorize the entire poem if you can. Listen to the poem on line.
If you can do this now, it will be MUCH easier to learn well when you return
from vacation.
Jour 3: Bonnes vacances!

can make it up.

can begin to memorize it.
Have your skit memorized (if possible for a high grade), and be
able to say it with expression. Bring any props or costumes to the next
class. Be sure to know what everything in the skit means. I may ask you
after you perform it, and your grade will be lowered if you do not know the
meaning. Be ready to perform it for a grade next class. Please see me if
you are having any difficulties with this.
Bring markers or colored pencils to our next class. If you did not get to
do the skit yet, continue to practice it for next class (or you will forget
