The following is a general outline of our homework schedule: READING: Students are to read independently at home every day for at least twenty minutes. The "Readers Become Leaders" log is to be filled out and signed each day. MATH: Homework is assigned every night Monday through Thursday and is a home link designed to reinforce the Everday Math lesson taught that day. SPELLING: Monday's assignment is to write the week's list is alphabetical order. This is an opportunity to become familiar with the words and the particular spelling pattern they represent. Tuesday's assignment is to write each word spelled incorrectly on the pretest five times. Wednesday's assignment is to write the Spelling list words in good sentences, putting two Spelling words in each sentence. Thursday's assignment is a simple worksheet on which the words are practiced a final time.
