Mr. Stec holds a B.A. in Music-Management and an M.A.T. with a concentration
in music from Manhattanville College.
He is also the musical director of Perfect Touch, one of the most in demand
wedding bands in the tri-state area.
When not playing music, he is usually listening to music, buying music, or
going to a concert! Happily, he has the support of his wife Heather, who is
a Pre-K teacher in Darien, CT.
Here's what I don't do: I am not teaching music to get children on American
Idol or to even become a professional musician (if they do, they can thank me
on the liner notes of their album!).
Here's what I do: I teach the mechanics, theory and technique of several
instruments and play to the individual student's strengths. They will learn
to listen and play in a solo and performance environment. We also have a
great time and laugh a lot!
The goal: to let children develop their appreciation of music by APPLYING
the concepts of listening, performing, analysis and critique to all areas of
their lives.
