This is my third year teaching Physical Education at Northeast Elementary
School. Before coming to Northeast, I taught P.E. and Health at Rippowam
Middle School in Stamford. In addition, I also coached basketball,
volleyball, and cross country at Rip. Here at Northeast, it is my goal to
provide all of my students with the skills, knowledge, and desire necessary
to lead and benefit from a healthy and physically active lifestyle.
Prior to getting my Teacher Certification in Connecticut, I enjoyed a career
in Social Work (M.S.W., Columbia University, B.S., Albany University),
working with children and adolescents in the N.Y.C. Family Court System, and
in the Mental Health System in New York City. Exercise, sports, and physical
activity played a relevant role in each of these settings.
Although a native New Yorker, I have enjoyed living in Stamford with my
family (husband, three sons, and rather large retriever)for nearly twenty
years! I look forward to seeing all my students, out and about in Stamford,
being physically active! Please be sure to say "Hi"!
