10/21: Complete notes and response from handout concerning incorporation of America.
10/17: Working on power point concerning the incorporation of America.
10/13: We will continue working on chapter 6, how technological advances changed society at the turn of the 19th -20th century.
10/11: We are continuing to work on the questions concerning slavery then and now. be sure to have your work completed by Thursday. You may go to the website used in class concerning the CNN freedom project for additional information.
10/5: Reconstruction essays are due in class tomorrow. For those who handed them in early, BRAVO! enjoy your evening.
10/3: The essay on Reconstruction is due on Thursday, 10/6. We have had several days in the computer room so I am looking forward to receiving lots of thoughful papers. If you are in need of help please see me.
9/30: Some of you have used time well while in the resource center and library as you write your essay on Reconstruction. For those of you who seem to be stalling, it's time to shift gears and put the ink to the paper. papers are due on Thursday, 10/6.
9/28: Work should be ongoing concerning the essay on Reconstruction. The essay is due on Thursday, 10/6. We are in the computer room today, Friday and next Tuesday. If you need additional help please see me to arrange a time.
9/26: We will complete chapter 5 (Reconstruction) this week in class. Begin thinking about what stance you will take concerning the essay assignment you received in class today. The assignement is due on Thursday, 10/6. This assignment should be worked on both in school and outside of school.
9/16: Continue working on Reconstuction ; chapter 5 section 1. Due Monday, 919.
9/15: Working on chapter 5 section 1 reconstruction. Read using the SQ3R strategy we learned in class. This should be complete by end of class on Monday.
9/13: Continue practicing the 50 states at sheppardsoftware.com There will be a test next week. Tomorrow I will inform you of the exact date.
9/8: Using Sheppard software practice learning the 50 states. You can access this site throught my website which is attached to Norwalk H.S. website. Once on my site scroll down on "links" to #5. In addition use the map you completed in class today to help prepare. The exact date of the test will be announced tomorrow for some time next week.
