Do students need to pass health to graduate?

Yes.  Health I and Health II needs to be passed to graduate.

Can I take both classes in one year to get it over with?

Not usually.  Health I is for 9th or 10th grades.  
Health II is for 11th or 12th grades.  
Health I should be passed before taking Health II.

Class participation - 40%
Homework/Portfolio - 25%
Project - 20%
Tests - 15%
