How Can You Help Out in Your Child's Class?

1. Classroom Volunteers: At Open House in September I will have sheets available for parents to sign up for convenient days to come in and help out. Sometimes parents come in weekly, others come in once a month. Whatever works best for both of us. It is a flexible schedule so changes can be made easily to accomodate changes is your schedule as well as mine.

2. At-Home Volunteers: I know that coming into school is not always possible. Like myself, everyone is not able to be a classroom volunteer for their child's teacher. Not to worry, I have work that can be done at home and sent in with your child. The big job I have every year is making pages of the many classroom books that the children will make during the year. I send home instructions and materials for you to complete a project for us. This sign up sheet will also be at Open House.

3.Friday Afternoon Readers: Each Friday afternoon parents, grandparents, or other special people signed up as readers come in a read to the children at the end of the day. I will send home a note indicating a date and time for you. You can check your schedule and let me know if it works for you. Open House will be the initial sign up but I will also send home a notice to everyone afterwards to insure I have everyone's name that wants to help. I know it is difficult for some of you, you may want to volunteer just once, let me know what is good for you. Volunteering is a great way to help assure your child's education is successful. You send them a message that their school work is important to you.
