PTA MEETINGS:
PTA Meetings are held the media center on
the last (4th) Wednesday of each month at 7:00
PM. Please come and
hear all about what is going on at your children's school! Studies show that
children excel when their parents are involved in their education.
HOW THE PTA HELPS OUR CHILDREN
The purpose of the National PTA is to:

Promote the welfare of children and youth
in home, school, community, and place of worship

Raise the standards of home life

Secure adequate laws for the care and
protection of children and youth

Bring into closer relation the home and
the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the
education of children and youth

Develop between educators and the general
public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the
highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The PTA provides financial support to OrangeAvenueSchool
in many ways. Through various fundraising
efforts the PTA is able to purchase items for our school. Please visit our
site often to learn more about how our PTA raises funds for the school.
The PTA provides OAS with additional
funds for school programs such as offsetting the cost of class trips, Read
Aerobics, and the Enrichment program.
In addition to these, the PTA donates
money for new library books, the school directory, teacher classroom wish
lists, special fine arts programs, visiting authors, butterfly garden, lunch
aide CPR course, 5th grade send-off, scholarship fund and more.
