Will my student have homework every night?

The students will have math , spelling and silent reading 
homework nightly. In addition, the students 
will be expected to read from their independent reading book for 
at least one hour over 
the weekend. In addition to the basic homework requirements, 
additional homework in writing, science and social studies will 
be assigned a few days a week.

What kind of snack will the children be allowed?

Healthy snacks only. All children should bring a snack everyday.

Can I help my student with their homework?

I encourage parental involvement with your student's homework. 
Please provide 
assistance when neccessary but do not do the work for them. They 
need to learn to 
perservere when the material becomes challenging.  If they cannot 
figure out a 
problem or assignment, please send in a note or send me an e-
mail. I check my e-mail 
on a daily basis.

How many AR books will my student be expected to read monthly?

The students will be required to read at least three books per 
month at the beginning of 
the school year.
