WELCOME BACK!! I'm looking foward to meeting and working with my new class of 2009-2010!

Please take some time to look through this website. I do my best to update it with important information for parents and students!

It is very important that homework gets done nightly. Homework is not busy work, but a
reinforcement of the skills that are introduced and practiced in school. Please sign your
child's planner nightly and check that homework is getting done. Thank you for your anticipated
cooperation!

It would be extremely helpful if you could encourage the use of vocabulary at home! Ask your
child to be more specific and replace simple words with more vocabulary words. Ask about the "Daily  Buzz Word!" Can he or she explain to you what it means? Use it in a sentence? Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

Please send in a healthy snack for our short, mid-morning/afternoon break. We do have some students with allergic sensitivities so please avoid peanut products.

Please write me a note if for any reason your child is not going home the usual way. Also, if your child is absent from school, be sure to send a note in the following day for it to be considered an excused absence.

If your child is having a birthday party, please do not send in invitations to be distributed during school. This avoids hurt feelings. Thank you!
