Weekly News

  • We are busy finishing up our study on Rocks and Minerals and moving onto the related topics of caves, volcanoes, dinosaurs, precious minerals, and continents/map skills.
  • Thank you for all the support with homework and encouraging your children to work hard, it has had a positive effect
  • Writing has been an area of intensity. We have continued to switch for writing groups 2 days a week and solidify editing skills and elaboration of stories. In our "Homeroom" writing instruction we are learning how to write paragraphs. (This week's homework paragraph is a self-selected topic)

  • We had a successful Valentine's Day ---I hope you enjoyed your sparkly card creations! Our "Party in a bag," seems to be working and kids brought in all kinds of fun little items instead. Think green treats for out St. Pat's Day snack!
