 How can I help my child become a successful reader?
It is very beneficial to have your child practice his/her reading by reading books they can read 
independently (easy books) and by your reading books to them that are more challenging.

Reading easy books promotes fluency.  Fluent readers are better able to understand what they are 
reading.
